Direct answer: UET is a signal foundation, not proof of business value
Microsoft Advertising states that Universal Event Tracking records what customers do on a website after they interact with an ad. Microsoft also says that placing one UET tag across the website can collect data used to track conversion goals and create remarketing lists. Supported examples include purchases, form submissions, registrations, downloads and subscriptions. The same official page connects UET with audience targeting, automated bidding, dynamic remarketing and Performance Max.
That makes UET commercially important, but it does not make every captured action useful. CreatikLab’s operational interpretation is that advertisers need three separate approvals: the event occurred as described, the conversion reflects meaningful intent, and the platform may use it for the intended activation. A firing tag proves only that a technical condition was detected. It does not prove that the lead was eligible, reachable, accepted by sales or economically valuable.
Confirmed by Microsoft: UET can record website actions after ad interaction.
Confirmed by Microsoft: one tag placed across the website can support conversion goals and remarketing lists.
Not specified by Microsoft on this page: consent configuration, event code, attribution settings, CRM reconciliation or lead-quality thresholds.
CreatikLab method: promote a signal into bidding only after technical, commercial and governance checks pass.
