Direct answer: automate only after the business outcome is measurable
Microsoft Advertising can use conversion information collected through Universal Event Tracking to support campaign measurement, audience building and automated bidding. Microsoft says one UET tag can be placed across a website to record what visitors do, and conversion goals can represent purchases, forms, registrations, downloads, subscriptions and other valuable actions after an ad interaction. Its official description connects Maximize Conversions with generating as many conversions as the budget permits, target CPA with a desired acquisition cost, and target ROAS with conversion value or revenue and a return target.
That does not mean every account should switch to automation immediately. CreatikLab's operational rule is: do not ask a bidding system to optimize until the event, value and business interpretation are dependable. A form submission may be technically valid but commercially weak. Before scaling beyond Google Ads, establish which outcome deserves optimization, how sales verifies quality and who can stop bidding when the signal deteriorates.
